Knowlton Bourne

A native Mississippian with a penchant for pairing rootsy, road trip-ready Americana with hook-laden jangle/power pop, Knowlton Bourne, with his laconic Southern drawl and pure pop instincts, straddles the middle ground between indie heartland twang and garage punk clang. Raised in a musical family, Bourne spent his formative years absorbing everything from classical music to Brian Eno and Wire. Barely out of his teens, he began his public music career in 2013, eventually inking a record deal with Misra, which issued his debut album, Songs from Motel 43, in 2015. In 2017, he returned with Songs from the Silver Light.

Bourne now makes his career as a copywriter living in New York. Beyond his two albums for Misra, Bourne has also been published in McSweeney's and has directed several short films.
