Chet Vincent

Chet Vincent has been releasing music with his rock band The Big Bend (who recorded the album Celebrate and Celebrate Live for Misra in 2016) going back about a decade now. Most recently, he’s also released a solo album, Where the Earth Opens Wide, made up of harmony-rich folk songs. He calls his backing band Biirdwatcher, a result of Googling himself. “There is another Chet Vincent out in the world who is a birdwatcher. I really enjoyed reading his articles about the birds he saw. I thought it would be really fun to compress reality and call the studio band for this album Biirdwatcher. There’s two “i’s” in case he doesn’t think it’s fun or funny, which is… a possibility.”

Vincent has promised one final album with The Big Bend before continuing writing, recording, and performing as a solo artist.
