Jeff Betten
Jeff Betten runs Misra Records and Wild Kindness Records, and is also an artist living in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His work has been praised as being "haunting and captivating" as well as "mysterious, dream-like and anonymous." His influences include Andrew Wyeth, Terrence Malick, Nick Drake, Edward Hopper, Alan Lomax, Brian Eno, and Tom Waits.
He released Born Again Blues and Plain Lo with novelist Joseph Ripple in 2012 and 2013 respectively. After four years, he returned with Three A.M. and the Stars Were Out in 2017, followed by the simultaneous release of Annus Mirabilis and Content ‘18 in 2019.
He lives with his dog, a cavapoo named Leonard Barkstein.
