Music has the ability to transport us to another time and place. Read Connolly loves to channel that power with a broad audience of fellow music lovers and passionate musicians alike. A multi-instrumentalist including pedal steel, lap steel, and dobro, Connolly has found great joy being involved in the creative music process for over 20 years.

As a veteran of Pittsburgh country legends The Beagle Brothers, as a studio musician, and as a composer for two PBS documentaries, Connolly has brought his talents to numerous artists seeking the unique steel guitar sound that can transport a song to the next level. And with his new band Read Connolly and His Conn Artists (featuring Pittsburgh’s favorite raconteur Elliott Sussman), Connolly has finally stepped into the spotlight himself!
