Slow Dazzle

The side project of the Mendoza Line's Shannon McArdle and Timothy Bracy, Slow Dazzle shared the intimate songwriting of the duo's main band, but added a slightly harder-edged, rock-influenced spin to its sound. Inspired by singer/songwriter teams like Richard and Linda Thompson and John Cale and Nico, Slow Dazzle recorded their debut, The View From the Floor, in a New York City loft. After The View From the Floor's release in spring 2005, McArdle and Bracy toured that summer and began planning their second Slow Dazzle album while gearing up for the release of that year's Mendoza Line album.

Both the Mendoza Line and Slow Dazzle have since disbanded. McArdle is now an independent solo artist, while Timothy Bracy now records and performs as a member of The Paranoid Style.
