St. Thomas
Thomas Hansen (aka St. Thomas or Saint Thomas) was Norway’s leading alt-country artist in the 2000s. He quitting his job as a mailman and became a songwriter after hearing the music of Elliott Smith and Will Oldham. His first full-length album, I'm Coming Home, was a summer chart success in Norway in 2001, and was then internationally released by Misra Records in 2002.
Hansen released three other albums afterwards (including on his own label, Cornerman Records) and also toured Europe with Lambchop and the United States with Of Montreal.
Thomas Hansen was found dead on September 10th 2007, aged 31. May he rest in peace.
