Torres

Mackenzie Scott, who has spent the 2010s making boundary-pushing pop music under her Torres moniker, has been described as a person whose words are so potent that they cause the beings around her to vibrate. Brought up in a conservative Christian home in Macon, Georgia, Scott learned how to play the flute and piano at an early age and sang in the children's choir at her Baptist church. After high school, Scott moved to Nashville, attend Belmont University, and recorded her debut album Torres over a five-day session at Tony Joe White's home studio in Franklin, Tennessee with engineer and producer Ryan McFadden. Following the album's release in 2013 on Misra Records, Scott toured extensively in the U.S. and Europe with a wide variety of musicians.

Torres continues to write and perform for various labels.
